Conductor Rail Permit (CRP)

Our Conductor Rail Permit (CRP) course provides the nessesary knowledge and skills to perform the Controller of Site Safety (COSS) CRP duties helping candidates to interpret the relevant parts of the Rule Book and Handbooks, how to set up a Safe System of Work planning for DC electried system and conductor rail isolations, prior to individuals going on or near the line and how to deliver a safety briefing.

Pre-Requisites (detailed)

• Delegate must be at least 18 years old
• Delegate must hold a valid Sentinel Track Safety Card and meet the requirements of NR/L2/CTM/021 - Competence and Training in Track Safety.
• Delegate must have Personal Track Safety (PTS) competence.
• Delegate must have a current Working Near DC Conductor Rails (DCCR) competence.
• Delegate must have a current Controller Of Site Safety (COSS) competence.
• Have sufficient command of English language, and of the English language as detailed in Network Rail Company Specification NR/S/CTM/021 (Competence & Training in Track Safety).
• Meet the medical requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124 Competence Specific Fitness Medical Requirements.
• Meet the requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L1/OHS/051 (Drugs & Alcohol). A drugs and alcohol test must have been carried out no more than 12 months prior to attending training event.
