Crane Controller Attachment - (CCARM) Rail Management

This course is designed to train persons who are responsible for undertaking Crane Controller Attachment Group 6 – Rail Management as part of their duties on Network Rail Infrastructure. The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the skills and underpinning knowledge required to undertake their duties in line with the associated capability.

Crane Controller Attachment - Rail Management Rail Plant Courses

Candidates attending this course will obtain the skills and knowledge required to undertake Crane Controller attachment group 6 rail management duties.

Learning Objectives

  • Safely and correctly control Rail management operations with RRV 360 excavator crane using any of the following attachments as covered in this module:
    • Rail Thimble.
    • Rail Turner.
    • Drag Clamp.

Pre-Requisites (detailed)

  • Delegate must be at least 18 years old
  • Delegate must hold a valid Sentinel Track Safety Card and meet the requirements of NR/L2/CTM/021 - Competence and Training in Track Safety.
  • Delegate must have Personal Track Safety (PTS) competence.
  • Meet the medical requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124 Competence Specific Fitness Medical Requirements.
  • Meet the requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L1/OHS/051 (Drugs & Alcohol). A drugs and alcohol test must have been carried out no more than 12 months prior to attending training event.
  • Delegate must have current compatible host Crane Controller competence.
